Trust God’s Plan in Suffering

“The Lord’s purpose prevails” (Proverbs 19:21)

Reflection:
Job, stripped of family, wealth, and health, sits in ashes yet declares, “No purpose of Yours can be thwarted” (Job 42:2). His trust in God’s sovereignty led to a deeper encounter and double restoration. Romans 8:28 says all things work for good, and Isaiah 55:9 lifts God’s ways above ours. Suffering can spark questions: why this pain, this loss, when will it end, how will it end? Yet, Job’s surrender shows God’s plan holds firm, turning trials into testimonies.

Think about a time pain revealed God’s purpose—maybe a setback grew your faith. God’s purpose endures. Is there a suffering shaking your trust? Like Job, yield to His plan—it could bring revelation. His trials didn’t just end; they glorified God. Your trust could shine His purpose too.

What suffering doubts higher ways?

Today’s Challenge: Reflect on one pain and pray Proverbs 19:21: “Your purpose prevails, Lord; I surrender.” Release one “why” in prayer and journal God’s past faithfulness—like Job’s trust that multiplied blessings.

Prayer: Purpose-Steadfast God, as Job’s suffering unveiled Your unshakable plan, weave my pain into Your glory. Let trust reveal Your higher design. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
