Day 184: Seeking God’s Favor Through Obedience
Scripture: Daniel 6:23

Then the king was exceedingly glad and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

Are you obeying God in faith, expecting His favor to follow? Psalm 5:12 promises, “For You bless the righteous, O Lord; You cover him with favor as with a shield,” linking favor to righteousness. Hebrews 11:6 states, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him,” affirming rewards for seekers.

Reflection: Daniel’s obedience in prayer led to God’s favor, delivering him unharmed from the lions’ den. Earnestly seeking God through obedience invites His divine favor into our lives. Daniel’s trust shows that pursuing God with faithfulness positions us for His miraculous intervention, even in dire situations.

Today’s Challenge: Obey a specific prompting from God today (e.g., forgiving someone, serving others). Pray for His favor to follow, trusting it will deepen your pursuit.

Prayer: Gracious God, as You favored Daniel’s obedience, help me pursue You through faithful actions. Let Your favor rest on me as I trust You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
