Day 260: Seeking God’s Justice in Adversity

Scripture: Psalm 7:1-2

“O LORD my God, in You I put my trust, save me from all those who persecute me, and deliver me, lest they tear me like a lion, rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver.”

Psalm 37:6 promises God will bring forth your righteousness like the light. Romans 12:19 forbids personal vengeance outright: leave room for the wrath of God instead.

Reflection:

David was being hunted by men who wanted him dead, and his response was not retaliation. It was appeal to a righteous judge. That takes more restraint than most people have. Trusting God’s justice means accepting that you may not see the vindication on your timeline, and refusing to take the sword into your own hand while you wait.

Today’s Challenge:

Bring a situation where you were genuinely wronged to God in prayer today. Choose not to retaliate, and trust Him to handle it instead.

Prayer:

Just God, David trusted You rather than his own hand to deal with his enemies. Deliver me from evil, and keep me from seeking revenge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
