Day 234: Seeking God’s Restoration in Brokenness
Scripture: Genesis 45:14-15

Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept upon his neck. And he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them…

Are you seeking God’s restoration in broken relationships? Isaiah 61:1 proclaims, “He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,” promising healing. 2 Corinthians 5:18 states, “All this is from God, who… gave us the ministry of reconciliation,” urging us to restore bonds.

Reflection: Joseph pursued God by seeking His restoration in his broken relationship with his brothers. Diligently seeking God means seeking His healing for fractured bonds. Joseph’s tears and embrace teach us that earnestly pursuing God involves trusting Him to mend what’s broken, extending love where there was once pain.

Today’s Challenge: Reach out to someone from a broken relationship today (e.g., a note, call). Pray for God’s restoration to guide your pursuit of healing.

Prayer: God of Restoration, as Joseph embraced his brothers, help me to pursue You by seeking reconciliation. Heal my relationships through Your love, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
