Day 23
What’s Your Next Step?
“I press on toward the goal.” (Philippians 3:14)
Reflection:
Timothy’s young, nervous, but steps up under Paul’s wing, preaching despite doubters (Acts 16:1-3). His small steps build a ministry. 2 Peter 1:5-7 urges adding virtue and knowledge to faith. Psalm 119:133 says, “Direct my footsteps according to Your word.”
What’s one step you can take to grow closer to God? Timothy didn’t leap; he walked one step at a time, trusting guidance. Maybe it’s learning how to study the Bible, learning how to pray or fasting—pick something that stretches you. Every step counts, like bricks in a foundation. His growth shaped churches; your step could shape your faith.
What’s one new way you can pursue God?
Today’s Challenge: Choose one practice … learning to study/pray, fasting. Pray Philippians 3:14 and Psalm 119:133, then start it. Timothy’s steps built ministry; yours could build intimacy.
Prayer: God, Timothy’s small steps show progress beats perfection. Guide my next move, help me press on toward You with courage. In Christ, Amen.
