Day 133: Receiving Good and Adversity from God
Scripture: Job 2:10

“But he said to her, ‘Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?’”

Can you accept both blessings and trials from God’s hand? In Job 2:10, Job responds, “Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” This acceptance in suffering encourages us to seek God by trusting His purposes in all circumstances. Romans 8:28 reminds us, “All things work together for good to those who love God.” Seeking Him means embracing His sovereignty fully.

Reflection: Job’s acceptance of both blessings and adversity reveals a faith that trusts God’s sovereignty in every season. Diligently seeking God means surrendering to His plan, believing that both joy and suffering serve His good purposes. This perspective deepens our pursuit, as we seek Him in trust and submission. Today, pursue God by embracing His hand in all circumstances.

Today’s Challenge: Thank God for a recent blessing and a trial, acknowledging both come from His loving hand.

Prayer: Father, help me receive both good and adversity from You in peace. Draw me closer as I seek Your purposes in all things, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
