Day 312
Seek God’s Glory in Eternity
“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen” (Romans 11:36)
Reflection:
Isaiah, entering the temple, sees God’s throne, His robe filling the space, seraphim crying “Holy, holy, holy” (Isaiah 6:1–3). His cry, “Woe is me!” leads to purging and a mission: “Here am I. Send me!” Revelation 4:11 declares God worthy of eternal glory, and Psalm 29:2 calls us to worship His splendor. We chase fleeting praise, but Isaiah’s vision shows only God’s glory endures.
Think about a time awe reoriented you—maybe worship shifted your focus. Keeping an eternal perspective calls us to seek His glory. Where do you seek lesser glory? Like Isaiah, worship God—it could send you out. His vision didn’t just awe; it glorified God. Your worship could too.
Where do you seek fleeting glory?
Today’s Challenge: Spend five minutes picturing Isaiah’s throne room. Pray Romans 11:36: “To You be glory, Lord.” Redirect one self-focused act to God’s fame, like Isaiah’s mission that proclaimed God.
Prayer: Glory-Revealing God who deserves glory, Isaiah’s throne-room collapse shames my glory-stealing ways. When I seek man’s praise, fill me with Your holy awe. Yes, LORD, when I seek man’s praise, fill me with Your holy awe. Let my worship glorify You forever and ever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
