Day 125: Trusting God’s Silence
Scripture: Job 13:15

“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.”

Can you trust God when He seems silent? Job’s faith in Job 13:15, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him,” endured despite God’s silence. Isaiah 50:10 encourages, “Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the Lord.” Seeking God means trusting His goodness, even when answers are absent.

Reflection: Job’s trust in God’s silence reveals a faith that transcends feelings or immediate answers. Diligently seeking God in silent seasons means clinging to His unchanging nature, knowing He is present even when we can’t sense Him. This trust refines our faith, drawing us into deeper dependence on Him. Today, pursue God by trusting His goodness, even in the quiet.

Today’s Challenge: Reflect on a time God seemed silent. Write how His character (e.g., love, faithfulness) assures you of His presence and pray about it.

Prayer: Lord, when You seem silent, help me trust Your goodness. Draw me near as I seek You in faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
