Day 134: Delighting in the Almighty

Scripture: Job 27:10

“Will he take delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?”

Do you find joy in God’s presence, even amid hardship? Job 27:10 challenges us with the question, “Will he take delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?” This delight fuels our pursuit, as Psalm 37:4 promises, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Seeking Him means finding our deepest satisfaction in who He is.

Reflection: Job’s commitment to delight in God, despite loss, shows a heart anchored in the Almighty’s worthiness. Earnestly pursuing God involves cultivating joy in His character, not just His blessings. This delight sustains us in trials and draws us nearer, as we call on Him continually. Today, pursue God by shifting focus from circumstances to His unchanging goodness.

Today’s Challenge: Spend 5 minutes listing three attributes of God that bring you delight. Praise Him for them aloud, committing to call on Him throughout the day.

Prayer: Almighty God, teach me to delight in You above all. Ignite joy in my heart as I seek You at all times, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
