Day 142: Seeking God’s Guidance in Uncertainty
Scripture: Genesis 7:1

Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”

What an amazing compliment from God. Noah was righteous before Him in his generation. What will God say about us in our generation?

Are you listening for God’s guidance in the uncertainties you face? Psalm 32:8 promises, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you,” affirming God’s guidance. James 1:5 encourages, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously,” inviting us to seek His direction.

Reflection: Noah’s pursuit of God involved listening for His voice and acting on His guidance, even as the flood loomed. Actively seeking God means seeking His direction in uncertain times, trusting He sees our righteousness. Noah’s faith in God’s instructions led to salvation for his family, reminding us that diligent seeking brings divine clarity and protection.

Today’s Challenge: Spend 10 minutes in quiet prayer today, asking God for specific guidance in a current uncertainty. Write down any insights and commit to following His lead this week.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, guide me as I earnestly pursue You in uncertain times. Help me to hear Your voice clearly and follow Your direction with faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
